THE ORTEGA CONDOMINIUM SITE
Condos Condos Condos
What Else is Being Built?
High end condos are making a strong comeback in Jacksonville. As the city becomes more and more built out and attracts more and more affluence, it is becoming increasingly common to build UP. Only two other high-end, high-rise condo projects are currently under way in this sprawling metro of nearly 2 million people: one at the beach and one downtown. However, the area with the highest need for new condos is in Ortega/Avondale. Only 8 new units have been constructed along the waterfront here in the last 40 years, yet the area has the city's highest concentration of wealth and the most extensive waterfront.
